At first glance, one would not know that Amy has a disability. However, when you start talking to her, it becomes evident that her speech is very limited. Siri, as she is fondly called by her family and friends, was diagnosed with Autism at age three.

Physically, Siri is fit and has excellent fine motor skills. Her mother incidentally discovered her talent of making jewelry, which has had a therapeutic effect on Siri and boosted her confidence. Her mother is very proud of Siri’s work and the accolades she receives at various events.

Siri’s family hopes to expand her work, so that many others with disabilities can be employed by her enterprise. Siri continues to inspire others to become productive members of society. She lives with her parents in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Designs By Siri’s vision is to help provide a meaningful and productive life for people with autism. People with autism are talented and are capable of producing high-quality goods, given the right environment of training, encouragement, and support!
