The month of March has been designated as National Disability Awareness Month. The Fishers Disability Roundtable and the city of Fishers values its citizens with physical and intellectual disabilities. Citizens of Fishers have worked to organize a month long campaign to bring awareness about disabilities and to educate the community about inclusion!
This year’s 2017 March Disability Awareness Month theme emphasizes that people with disabilities are people first. They are co-workers, classmates and neighbors whom want to be included in their communities – just like everyone else.
